Difference 1
Pocket on PC: an app and a store serve different purposes
Official sources present Pocket on iOS and Android. Its Web Store is not a browser game client.
- Cartoria runs in desktop and mobile browsers. You can explore its catalogue and a public replay before creating an account.
- If your priority is playing on PC without installing a client, start by watching a Cartoria battle.
Difference 2
Discovering cards in independent worlds
The Pocket website advertises two free booster packs per day and Pokémon cards with varied artwork. Cartoria has its own fighters and accessories.
- Each Cartoria realm keeps its collection: Dinosaurs creatures and Origin fighters do not share an inventory.
- Therizinosaure, Abyssal Kraken and Pendant illustrate the Cartoria catalogue; this selection is not a guaranteed starter gift.
Difference 3
Twenty cards in Pocket, equipped lines in Cartoria
The official Pocket guide describes 20-card decks, an Energy Zone and a three-point goal. Those are different rules from Cartoria.
- In Cartoria, arrange up to ten fighters and choose compatible accessories. Preparation comes before automatic battle resolution.
- Compare two orders or equipment choices, then use the replay to understand the encounters; no placement guarantees victory.
Difference 4
Duplicates and trades have their own conditions
The current Pocket FAQ limits trading to friends and says it unlocks after 14 days. Not every card is eligible.
- In Cartoria, eligible cards can be sold on the realm market. The rules explain selling restrictions and fusion of identical copies.
- Check a card’s eligibility before trading or selling: another game’s rules and currencies do not apply.
Difference 5
Pocket is different from TCG Live
Pokémon TCG Pocket has its own rules. Our other comparison covers the traditional TCG and TCG Live.
- Your choice depends on the experience you want: Pokémon collecting on mobile, the traditional TCG, or battle preparation in Cartoria.
- If you meant the classic Pokémon TCG rules, open the dedicated comparison instead of attributing them to Pocket.
Difference 6
Try Cartoria’s pace before choosing
Want browser card collecting with tactical preparation? Explore the realms, cards and a public battle.
- Choose Pocket for its Pokémon world and app; choose Cartoria if deck order, equipment and replays match what you enjoy.
- Both offer optional purchases. This comparison promises neither better drop rates nor easier progression.
