Dinosaurs mutations
Mutations equip your compatible creatures. Choose their effects and trade-offs to prepare your deck.
Three checks before equipping
- Choose the wearer, then check the effect for that wearer and its free slots. A compatible type is not enough: deck construction offers equipment whose effect applies to this card. The same equipment can have different effects depending on its bearer and element.
- Equipment may improve attack or one defense while reducing health or another value. Compare final stats at the equipped level, rather than the number of items. After all bonuses, penalties and affinities, the bearer must retain at least 1 health point.
- An affinity belongs to one exact card pair. Its bonus adds to the normal effect and depends on the equipment level; another wearer of the same element does not receive it automatically.
Equipment means a real choice
Here is the effect of level 1 Lave on level 1 Raptor. Compare gains and trade-offs before equipping.
- Health: 20 → 16
- Attack: 22 → 39
- Fossil defense: 11 → 15
Three mutation families
These families describe where mutations originate. Some have profiles suited to several ecosystems; their effect depends on the compatible bearer.
Fossil mutations
Fangs, plates, shells, lava and amber reinforce impact, defenses and brute force.
Sky mutations
Talons, membranes, wings and runes strengthen Attack or defenses, especially against Swamp.
Swamp mutations
Brume and Venin strengthen Predators. Colossi can use Voile, Massue or Corne to attack at a health cost, or favor Écailles, Branchies and Algues for endurance.
Choose your pack's instinct
Fossil, Sky and Swamp form a flexible cycle. Choose mutations to press an advantage or cover a weakness.
